Horseshoe Group Expands Senior Management in Cayman Operations

Hamilton, Bermuda. June 29, 2010. Horseshoe Group announces an expansion of its senior management staff. Steven R. Britton has been named Senior Vice President, Horseshoe Services (Cayman) Limited (“Horseshoe Services”), the Cayman Islands’ arm of Horseshoe Group, the Bermuda-based independent insurance management and advisory firm. The announcement was made by Andre Perez, CEO of Horseshoe Group.

Mr. Britton will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Cayman office which opened December last year. In association with Cayman Trust Limited, the office provides full SPV management and advisory services including all required services to administer Catastrophe Bond SPVs. Mr. Britton will act as the primary client contact for Horseshoe Services’ clients and will additionally be charged with Group assignments, including enhancing Group’s capabilities in SPV management as well as overseeing the activities of Horseshoe Re Limited, the Group’s licensed separate account company which acts as a transformer for several investors.

Mr. Britton brings more than 18 years of experience as a capital markets professional, underwriter and reinsurance broker in the traditional and collateralized reinsurance, financial guaranty and insurance-linked securities (“ILS”) markets, with previous assignments in Los Angeles, London, New York and Bermuda. Steve gained senior-level ILS experience as Head of ILS at Fox-Pitt Kelton Cochran Caronia Waller, as Senior Vice President at Willis Capital Markets, and most recently as Head of ILS and collateralized reinsurance at U.S. RE Securities, LLC. Steve holds a B.A. in Economics from Brigham Young University and an M.B.A. in Finance and Accounting from the University of California-Davis.
